In the oil and gas, production and transportation industries, K Controls products are predominately used to accurately monitor the position of a wide range of pneumatically or hydraulically operated on/off valves. They are also fitted to gearboxes used on manual valves. 

Hazards include explosive gasses and hostile environmental conditions. 24/7 operational reliability is essential. 

For these reasons K Controls products are often supplied in stainless steel IP67 or IP68 enclosures with Exi, Exed or Exd certification for use in hazardous gas Zones 1 and 2.

Versions are available that operate in the ambient temperature range -60 to +80 degrees C. 

When the 007T version is specified, solenoid valves can be back wired into the enclosures saving on costly terminal boxes and cable glands.

Switches in Exia or Exd enclosures can be mechanical, reed or inductive proximity.  

K Controls K4-20 position transmitters can be used to monitor the performance of control valves or emergency shut-down (ESD) valves during partial stroke testing.
