K Controls products for sub-sea use are used to accurately monitor the position of on/off or modulating valves.

Applications where the products are used include rig positioning, sub-sea emergency shut down or manifold valves and tanker loading or balancing.

Enclosures are either coated carbon steel or stainless steel.

Most units are designed for depths to 150 metres and special pressure balanced units are available for depths to 2500 metres.

A variety of hermetically sealed solid state or reed style proximity switches can be fitted together with 4-20mA, HART®, PROFIBUS® or FOUNDATION™ fieldbus position transmitters.

The option of component redundancy is available.

ATEX 11 2 G Ex ia certification is an option should the unit be required for intermittent submersion in a hazardous area.

A standard M20 or ˝” NPT conduit entry is provided. Alternatively the base can be machined to accept a customer specified sub-sea connector.
